1. At what point in our project should we hire Radtron Studio?
The earlier, the better. We do our best work when signage is considered during concept development or early architectural planning, not after the building is complete. We help design to code, coordinate with architects, and plan for fabrication realities early to protect the brand’s intent.
2. Can you work with our existing brand guidelines?
Absolutely. In fact, providing us with your brand guidelines and connecting with your brand development team are critical first steps in our kickoff process. We frequently collaborate with brand teams to translate their identity systems into comprehensive signage programs. Whether you need a full signage package or just code signage and wayfinding, we adapt your standards to physical space, materials, and code requirements.
3. What do you actually deliver?
We deliver strategic signage design, code navigation, and permit-ready documentation. Depending on the scope, this can include:
Feasibility Reports and Consultation
Master signage programming
Signage schedules and location plans
Messaging hierarchies
Fabrication-ready drawings
Material and finish recommendations
Bidding and install coordination
If fabrication is included, we oversee every step of production through our trusted industry partners and demand the highest quality control from prototyping through install.
4. How involved are you during construction and installation?
Heavily. We offer construction-phase support, coordinate with fabricators and installers, review shop drawings, and ensure on-site installation matches the approved design every time.
5. Do you provide pricing up front?
Yes. We provide a fixed cost for the Design & Development Phase. If fabrication is included, we offer a projected range based on your goals. Final fabrication pricing is confirmed after design is approved and shop drawings are complete. If you’re bidding out fabrication, we can assist with vendor coordination and reviews.
6. Can you design to a specific fabrication budget?
Yes, within reason. Our background in materials, production methods, and install logistics allows us to design systems that align with realistic fabrication goals.
That said, we prioritize quality, longevity, and brand fidelity. If your budget is constrained, we’ll be upfront about what’s possible, and if needed, suggest phased solutions or refer you to a more cost-oriented provider. Our best work happens when there’s room for thoughtful execution.
7. Do you handle code signage and ADA compliance?
Yes. We understand local and national code requirements and can plan ADA-compliant signage systems that meet both regulations and design standards. We also coordinate with inspectors, zoning boards, and plan reviewers when necessary.
8. Do you handle permitting?
Yes. For projects that include exterior signage, we coordinate with local jurisdictions, prepare submittal packages, and work with your GC or installer to pull permits in a timely and cost-effective manner.
9. Can you help us bid out fabrication?
Yes. If you prefer to handle production independently, we can prepare a bid-ready drawing package and help you vet fabricators. We’re also happy to manage fabrication through our established partners if you prefer a comprehensive turnkey process.
